BURNERS & FURNACE COURSE OVERVIEW
This course covers the basics of fuel combustion; the chemistry of combustion; gas burner systems; and furnace heat exchanger mechanics. Although the focus will be on residential indoor furnaces, the knowledge applies to light commercial including rooftop units.

AIR AND FUEL COMBUSTION
Combustion is a chemical process in which, the fuel combines with oxygen gas to release energy in the form of heat and light. Most boilers and furnaces are combustion appliances, burning fuel like natural gas, oil, or propane in order to generate heat.
In this course we will go through the different elements and fuels that it are commonly used in the field. Further understanding what makes the combustion process work in an HVAC unit and how to troubleshoot any issues that can arise in the field.
